Porsche 993 Twin Turbo
Tecknik Motor Werks has a new challenge, they are trying to achieve in excess of 700 hp for the beautiful black 993 Twin Turbo. The 993 Twin Turbo already comes with 400 hp @ 5750 rpm and 400 lb-ft of torque @ 4500 rpm. Unlike most sports car with AWD system, the 993 Turbo doesn't bog off the line. Drop the clutch at 4500 rpm and perfect launch results. It only take a blink for this amazing car to reach 60 mph from a stand still, 3.9 seconds to be precise. Gone as 3rd is engaged, boost resumes half a heartbeat later, tearing a hole in the atmosphere. One hundred miles per hour fly by in less that 10 seconds: the quarter mile is achieved in 12.5 seconds at 112.5 mph. As the turbos scream for more air, the 993 Turbo explodes into motion like a hungry cheetah in full chase after a gazelle. The sound from the engine makes this car seems like it is driven by raw
anger as it launches itself in full motion, it is fully appreciated inside the cockpit.

For it to have 700 hp, this 993 Turbo cease to exist as an exotic supercar but rather, it will start to become an exotic super missile. It has additional front oil coolers located at the nose of the car to which the car needs to cool off such a hot engine. To achieve such power, Technik Motor Werks will be enlarging its current twin turbos to twin T28T3 Hybrid Turbos made by Garret. It will have turbo ceramic ball bearings to help the turbo spool up faster and better from the heavier load of compression. Custom 3 inch down pipes will pipe the exhaust.

I can only imagine how fast this beast will fly, I think the experience will be magnanimous. If not thrilling, it will definitely be pooh in your pants scary.

There is a lot more to be written about this car, so stay tune...
